A waste separation pilot project commenced in March 2020 covering the building at Gateway, the Administration block, University House and the Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy (FEMA) building. The Quadrangle and Gateway outdoor areas are part of the project too.
Waste separation on campus will develop in phases; this programme will cover the remaining part of the Msida main campus, Junior College, the Valletta Campus and other auxiliary campuses. In this way, waste separation will be available throughout the University of Malta.
