The Committee for Safeguarding the Code of Professional Academic Conduct was set up to:
  • consider misconduct in relation to the academic staff of the University as stipulated in the Manual of Procedures of the Collective Agreement
  • carry out a full enquiry, keeping detailed records of the proceedings
  • draw up conclusions
  • recommend any action to the Rector and inform Senate and Council accordingly.

The Dean of Faculty or the Director of the Institute, Centre or School to which the academic member of staff, accused of being in breach of regulations, belongs.

The Principal of the Junior College (JC), when a JC academic member of staff is accused of being in breach of regulations.
