QUadricopters for ARCHaeology (QUARCH) Project


The QUARC project is an umbrella name covering all activities of the Department of Classics and Archaeology using quadricopters, drones or other unmanned flying remote sensing platforms. The overall aims of the project are: 


To promote interdisciplinary research in the design and use of low cost systems dedicated to the support of archaeology and useful for other disciplines 

To carry out aerial remote sensing in support of archaeology research and project 

To introduce and provide access to students to the use of drones for aerial remote sensing and enable them to generate and use aerial imaging data.
