Hyperspectral Imaging for the Food Sciences

This research utlises hyperspectral imaging equipment to visualise bacterial colonies which are cultivated using agar substrates. The study aims to identify the spectral signatures of bacteria with the intent of detecting its presence in the early stages. The end application is to develop an improved method of detecting contamination in food.
