On the 11th and 12th March, the Centre for Environmental Education and Research (CEER) hosted a Symposium on the National Strategy for Education for Sustainable Development. The Symposium was held at the Valletta Campus conference centre and saw the participation of various stakeholders in the field of Education for Sustainable Development. The Symposium brought together educators, academics, civil servants, activists, and other interested parties to discuss the recently launched national strategy for Education for Sustainable Development.

This symposium provided CEER with yet another chance to assert itself as a key actor in the promotion of Education for Sustainable Development. It also offered an invaluable opportunity to engage with civil society, the public and other relevant stakeholders in line with its ethos of promoting Education for Sustainable Development through active partnerships and collaborations in formal, non-formal and informal settings. Further to that the symposium also served as fertile ground for nourishing existing networks and establishing new connections that will aid CEER in its mission to the promote Education for Sustainable Development.

The symposium enjoyed the active support of the Ministry for Education and Employment and the Ministry for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change.
