Chaplain: Fr Mark Cachia

After completing my studies in Moral Theology in Madrid, I was assigned to JRS Malta where I was responsible for communications and pastoral work with migrants.

In July 2017, I was appointed Chaplain at the University Chaplaincy. At Chaplaincy, we strive to integrate the three dimensions of Spirituality, Community and Service in all the activities which are offered, whilst creating a welcoming environment for students and staff.

Amongst other things, together with the team and other students, I am responsible for organising the main liturgical activities such as Christmas and Easter, offering sacramental services, participating in various committees that work for the well being of students, as well as giving talks, seminars and retreats.

Lay Pastoral Assistant: Sara Zingariello

I started working with Chaplaincy as full-time Lay Pastoral Assistant in December 2014. My role in the office includes coordinating the day-to-day running of the Chaplaincy, including office administration and hospitality as well as coordinating the voluntary work programmes, spiritual exercises, lunchtime dialogues and liturgies. Most importantly, I am here to welcome anyone who passes by for a coffee, lunch, or simply needing someone to talk to.

Lay Pastoral Assistant: Christian Mintoff

At Chaplaincy I work as a lay pastoral assistant. My role in the team includes taking care of the daily running of the chapel, outreach on campus, coordinating the Saturday Night Mass and coordinating our media presence. Furthermore I am available to offer support for students and staff.
