Chaplain:  Fr Michael Bugeja s

After eight years as the full-time Chaplain of the University of Malta, I would say that one main aspect of my role is to journey with both students and staff not only on a spiritual journey but also in their various personal situations. Our goal as a Chaplaincy is to create a 'home away from home' for students and staff member.

Amongst other things, I am responsible for organising the main liturgical activities together with the team and students, offering sacramental services, participating in various committees that work for the well being of students, giving talks, seminars and retreats

Lay Pastoral Assistant: Sara Zingariello

I working with the Chaplaincy as the full-time Lay Pastoral Assistant (08:00 to 17:00), since December 2014. My role in the office involves anything from administration, collaboration with other University departments and entities, the running of the Chaplaincy (including taking bookings for rooms), organising social events, spiritual formation, fundraising events, live-ins, Cana courses, etc. Most importantly, I am here to welcome anyone who passes by for a coffee, lunch, or simply needing someone to talk to.

Lay Pastoral Assistant: Christian Mintoff

I work as the part-time lay pastoral assistant. I take care of the running of the Chapel in the evening (17:00 till 20:00) and any other evening events, including the Saturday evening Mass that is organised by the Chaplaincy. Furthermore I am available to offer support for students and staff.

Degree Plus Coordinator/Lay Pastoral Assistant : Martina Laferla
