TITLE Ir-Rappreżentazzjoni u x-Xbihat Korporali fil-Letteratura Maltija

LEVEL H - Higher Level

ECTS CREDITS 4

DEPARTMENT Centre for the Liberal Arts and Sciences

DESCRIPTION Din it-Taqsima se tintroduċi t-teorija tal-ġisem fl-analiżi tal-letteratura Maltija tas-seklu 20, b’emfasi speċjali fuq il-poeżija. L-istudenti se jiġu mogħtija l-opportunita’ li jwettqu kritika letterarja b’ perspettiva multi-dixxiplinarja li tħares lejn teoriji tal-ġisem differenti li qed jiżviluppaw fl-arti viżwali, ċ-ċinema u t-teatru, b’attenzjoni partikolari għall-istudju femminista.

Il-mistoqsijiet primarji li ħa jkunu ndirizzati huma:
- Rappreżentazzjoni tas-Sbuħija u l-Kruha;
- Il-Ħarsa;
- Il-Ġisem bħala xbieha u metafora;
- Erotiċizmu.

Permezz tal-analiżi tax-xbieha tal-gisem fil-poezija, it-Taqsima se toffri kritika tal-pożizzjoni li l-Moderniżmu Malti kellu reazzjoni totalment avversarja għar-Romantiċiżmu u turi kif id-differenza principali kienet dwar il-generu aktar milli l-perjodu.

Għanijiet tal-Kors:

1. Tagħlim:

Sa tmiem it-Taqsima l-istudent se jkun kapaci:
- Jirrealizza li r-rappeżentazzjonijiet korporali huma politikament mgħobbija u jinbidlu mal-linji tal-ġeneru;
- Jifhem il-kunċett tal-Ħarsa permezz ta’ numru ta’ teoriji;
- Jirrealizza kif it-teorija tista’ tkun multidixxiplinarja;
- Jsir iktar kritiku meta jindirizza testi li qabel kienu jiġu mifhuma bħala “innoċenti”;
- Jirrealizza kif hemm bosta karatteristiċi komuni bejn movimenti letterarji (partikolarment ir-Romantiċiżmu u l-Moderniżmu) li qabel kienu kkunsidrati bħala pożizzjonijiet avversarji ta’ xulxin.

2. Ħiliet:

Sa tmiem it-Taqsima l-istudent se jkun kapaci:
- Japplika għarfien kritiku li żvillupa f’numru ta’ dixxiplini fl-analiżi letterarja;
- Iħares lejn il-kritika letterarja Maltija minn spettru ugħsa t’analiżi;
- Jindirizza b’mod kritiku xbihat korporali u rappreżentazzjonijiet korporali fil-letteratura.
