This programme is designed to offer a focused learning and training experience in Dietetics. The course utilises the B.Sc. (Hons.) Applied Food and Nutritional Sciences or an equivalent qualification as the basis for this Postgraduate Diploma. This intensive programme will give you the training and skills base needed to practice safely and with proficiency. The programme will provide you with the skill-set which will be developed gradually throughout the one-year full-time course. The course will rely heavily on guided experiential learning in both hospital and community settings. The ultimate aim is to provide pre-registration education and training to the development of professional dietetic identity, while underpinning lifelong learning that will ensure the development, continuation and evolution of standards of excellence in dietetic practice. The programme of studies extends over one year of full-time studies. Lectures and clinical placements are held during the day.
