LHA5011** Maltese as a Foreign Language: Descriptors and Assessment Criteria 5 ECTS

*Study-unit LHA5010 is only compulsory for those who already teach MFL in schools.

**Study-unit LHA5011 is only compulsory for those who are not currently teaching MFL in schools.

Semester 2 (February 2020 - June 2020)

LHA5013 Teaching Maltese as a Foreign Language in Context 5 ECTS
LHA5014* Literature in the Maltese as a Foreign Language Classroom 5 ECTS

*Study-unit LHA5014 starts in Semester 2 of academic year 2019/20 (February 2020) and continues up to the end of Semester 1 of academic year 2020/21 (January 2021).



Semester 2 (February 2021 - June 2021)

LHA5015* Theory and Research on the Acquisition of Maltese as a Foreign Language 5 ECTS
LHA5016* Research Project in Maltese as a Foreign Language 5 ECTS

*Study-unit LHA5015 and LHA5016 start in Semester 2 of academic year 2020/21 (February 2021) and continue up to the end of Semester 1 of academic year 2021/22 (January 2022).



Requirement for award of Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Maltese as a Foreign Language: 30 ECTS credits

This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2008 and by the Bye-Laws for the award of Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Maltese as a Foreign Language - P.G.Cert. -, under the auspices of the Faculty of Education.
