YEAR ONE

In addition to the compulsory study-units, students are required to choose study-units to the value of 6 ECTS credits from the elective study-units on offer during the year.

In addition to the prescribed 90 ECTS credits for the course, students may apply to the Board to register for extra study-units. Please refer to the note at the end of the programme.

TIS5050 Simultaneous Interpretation (English / Foreign Language to Maltese) 12 ECTS
TTI5001 Simultaneous Interpretation (Maltese to English) 8 ECTS

Elective Units Elective units are offered subject to time-table constraints.

YEAR TWO

Semester 1

TIS5090 Dissertation 30 ECTS




In addition to the total number of credits for the programme (90 ECTS credits), students may apply to the Board to register for the extra study-unit listed hereunder. Extra study-units cannot substitute compulsory, elective or optional study-units that form part of the official Senate-approved programme of studies, and do not count towards the Year Average Mark or towards the Final Weighted Average Mark. ENG1063 English Speech Fluency 2 ECTS

This programme of study is governed by The General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2008 and by the Bye-Laws for the award of the Degree of Master in Translation and Terminology Studies - M. Trans. - or the Degree of Master in Interpreting Studies - M. Interp. - under the auspices of the Faculty of Arts.
