DESCRIPTION | To introduce the students to the basic concepts of chemistry and illustrate the relevance of chemistry in the agricultural field. Contents Introduction to Chemistry; Definition; Branches of chemistry; The Atom, Elements; Composition and valency; Chemical Bonding; Intermolecular Forces; Shapes of molecules; Moles; Properties and Kinetic Theory of Matter; Stoichiometry and Reaction types; Periodicity and the elements of the periodic table.
