DESCRIPTION The unit seeks to trace the development of the most important historical, systematic and practical contents of the Roman Catholic understanding of the Church, with reference to issues such as modernity and tradition, and interconfessional and interreligious dialogue. The principles of ecumenism are then studied while highlighting its historical iter, its acquisitions, its ambiguities, its possibilities and its aspirations.
