| DESCRIPTION | The study-unit is a synoptic: it gives students a holistic understanding of French and Francophone literature and French culture related topics, acquired in the 3 years of studies. Study-Unit Aims: The aim of this synoptic study-unit is to evaluate the students’ knowledge of French literature and culture. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Draw a link between literary works that may pertain to different genres and belonging to different historical periods; - Critically discuss issues which have preoccupied the human mind since the birth of civilization and realized that literature is a unifying force in manking. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Embark upon more complex academic tasks like writing a thesis. |
