TITLE Deutsche Grammatik 2 / German Grammar 2

LEVEL 02 - Years 2, 3 in Modular Undergraduate Course

ECTS CREDITS 4

DEPARTMENT German

DESCRIPTION German Grammar 2
In this study-unit another main aspect of German grammar will be treated in depth – the subjunctive (the use of subjunctive II and I; indirect speech). Furthermore, another important topic will be discussed: German sentence structure (sentence elements, word order, mainly in main clauses). The students will have the opportunity to deepen and consolidate their knowledge of these important aspects of the German language and to practise them by making use of various types of exercises.

The second part of this study-unit will focus on the word order in subordinate clauses. Different connectors (consisting of one or two parts) will be introduced and applied. Furthermore, important noun-verb-combinations and the use of modal particles will be practised. For this purpose various types of exercises will be used.

Deutsche Grammatik 2
