DESCRIPTION This study-unit intends to give the participants the opportunity to continue to reflect upon the content, attitudes and skills acquired during both the first and the second year of the diploma course. The participants will be placed in a school setting for a hands-on practicum and will, during tutorials analyze their different experiences with reference to credits covered. The Students' placement will depend on their choice of specialty (Primary or secondary classrooms).During the second half of first semester students will be supported with tutorials in preparation for later evaluation during the second semester (February – May) During this period trainee LSAs will have a minimum of 3 visits. The students will experience supervised, evaluated and monitored Facilitation Practice.

By the end of this study-unit, the participants will:
- have experience in an inclusive school setting;
- have had the opportunity to link observations to theories;
- have had the opportunity to experience theory in practice;
- have learnt how to process and reflect upon skills observed and acquired;
- be helped to understand how to use this new baggage of knowledge, skills and attitudes in a work setting.

Study-unit Outline:

Students will be placed in a school in an inclusive classroom and supervised through tutorials and school visits. Support tutorials will be held.
