DESCRIPTION This study-unit is intended to provide MA (by research) students to systematically present and discuss their research ideas and progress, and to expand their knowledge in research methods and their application in various domains.

Study-unit Aims:

- To develop a culture of regular exchange and communication of research ideas and findings;
- To provide an opportunity to develop further students' presentation and academic writing skills;
- To expose students to a wider context of research on different topics and discuss selected methods, procedures and analysis of research results.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Report on ongoing research: background, formulation of research problem, choic of methodology, resolution of ethical issues (if any), definition of critical success factors and key performance indicators for the particular research project;
- Develop a culture of research discussion;
- Improve argumentation quality as well as tolerance in research debates.

2. Skills:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Develop better structured and more efficient presentations;
- Improve academic writing for publication and for research proposal.
