DESCRIPTION Dan il-kors jistħarreġ l-użu tal-metafora f’testi letterarji Maltin. Filwaqt li l-enfasi tkun fuq kitbiet letterarji ta’ ġeneri differenti minn perijodi distinti tal-letteratura Maltija, issir analiżi wkoll, fost l-oħrajn, tat-taħdit ta’ kuljum għall-funzjonijiet figurattivi tiegħu. Matul il-kors, il-metafori jiġu analizzati f’kuntesti lingwistiċi, letterarji, u kulturali li jikxfu s-saffi semantiċi u assoċjattivi tagħhom.

Fi tmiem il-kors l-istudenti se jkunu kapaċi jidentifikaw u janalizzaw l-effetti tal-metafora fuq il-qari.

Fi tmiem il-kors l-istudenti se jkunu kapaċi japplikaw l-osservazzjonijiet tagħhom tal-mekkaniżmi metaforiċi għal testi oħrajn.
