DESCRIPTION | Learning Objectives: By the end of the study-unit the student will: - Gain an insight on various disorders related to early pregnancy and some important medical conditions which can complicate pregnancies; - Be able to describe the role of the midwife concerning identification assessment and management of different conditions/disorders; - Become aware of the needs and support required by the client and her family during the pregnancy period. Content: This study-unit will explore various disorders which are known to cause complications in early pregnancy and pre-existing maternal medical conditions causing complications during the different trimesters of pregnancy.
