Clare Agius - Panel Moderator

Clare Agius is an actress, TV presenter and producer who has been hosting TV programmes, events and festivals for the past thirteen years, establishing herself professionally as one of Malta's leading personalities.  She has created and developed her own projects from age 20 and at the age of 25 established her Media Production Company which she runs single handedly, subcontracting and recruiting people per project. Clare has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and enjoys a healthy way of life.  This led her to open a Traditional Chinese Massage Clinic last December, which extends her philosophy of life to the public.  She has a passion for flying and acquired her Private Pilot License in August 2009.

Ivan Bartolo (6pm)

Ivan is the founder and one of the Principal Directors of 6pm which has grown to be one of Malta`s largest IT companies. He has been involved in a number of consultancy and IT roles for over 20 years and has gained valuable, in-depth experience across many aspects of IT including product development, business strategy and management, sales and marketing, and training. In 1995 Ivan acquired full certification in Agile DSDM as consultant, trainer and practitioner and has served on the DSDM Consortium Board of Directors as the Business Development Director responsible for introducing DSDM in the United States, Canada, Scandinavia and Malta between 2000 and 2002. Since inception of the 6pm Group, Ivan has been involved in a number of major projects for high profile companies including British Airways (UK), CAP Gemini ASPIRE (UK), Toyota (UK),  Verizon (United States), Manulife (Canada) and Storebrand (Norway).  

Dylan Lentini (a young GEW "graduate")

Dylan has recently completed a BSc IT (Hons) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science at University of Malta.  While in his final year at University, he attended the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2008 events organised by The Edward de Bono Institute and subsequently embarked on three new ventures.  Dylan forms part of Sliema Hotsticks Hockey Club as a player, junior coach and web developer and is currently busy organising the Official University Graduation Ball that will be held on 05 December.

Giorgio Mondovi' (Nestle' Malta)

Giorgio was born in Milan, Italy, and moved to Malta when he was appointed managing director of Nestle' Malta in 2005.  He has formerly occupied posts of Sales Director (Food Division) and Pasta Operations Manager at Nestle Italy, as well as Marketing Advisor at Nestec SA Switzerland.  He is a chartered accountant and is fluent in five languages: Italian, Portuguese, French, Spanish and English.


Sabrina Mulligan (Brainbox, Monopoly Malta)

Sabrina is Director of Brain Box - a production power house, Winebox,-  created to spread the enjoyment and knowledge of wine and of Gamebox - brains behind Monopoly Malta (and currently working on Top Trumps Malta).

Eman Pulis (Marshall Pulis Events)

Eman graduated with first class honours in 2001 with a Bachelor of Education degree. He holds a Masters Degree in Creativity and Innovation as well as a Masters Degree in Diplomatic Studies.  Referred to by friends as the eternal student, Eman is currently a Law student. Eman is a self-employed event organiser. His job enables him to further his studies. Eman represented Malta at the 2003 Small Nations Games, taking part in the triple jump event. Following a U.S. student-athlete scholarship at George Mason University, he became heavily involved in campus life, particularly the University Sports Club, KSU and University Senate. Eman is also the cofounder of the South End Core and current honorary president of Mdina Knights FC.


Doris Sammut (President - Malta Association of Women in Business (MAWB)

Doris is Co-Owner and Joint Managing Director of Green Skip Services Ltd. and G.S. Rec. Ltd.  She holds key positions in several professional associations and networks including the Malta Association of Women in Business (President), the Mediterranean Businesswomen Organization (AFFAEMME, Spain) (Vice President), and the Malta Institute of Wastes Management (Founder and General Secretary).  She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (UK), Femmes Chefs d'Enterprises Mondial, the Malta Federation of Industry, the Foundation of Human Resources and the Malta Employers Association.

She has worked with various local bodies on gender issues and was instrumental in driving for change in the local policy in many aspects especially in equality and discrimination issues when dealing with employment.  She has participated in local and foreign events and delivered presentations for women empowerment, leadership, work-life balance and the promotion of entrepreneurship among women and students.


Alex Scicluna (Cafe' Jubilee)

In 1989, Alex enrolled at the Institute of Tourism Studies as a full time student in Hotel Management.  After a brief time working in a five star hotel in Malta, he decided that it was time to open his first business. Otters, a seaside restaurant in Marsalforn, Gozo opened its doors in Summer of 1995. His brothers, Mario and Anthony joined him and all three decided to launch a new concept. Café Jubilee, Victoria welcomed its first guests in 1998. Two years later, Alex decided that it was time to go across the island and open the second Café Jubilee in Valletta. Malta welcomed Café Jubilee with open arms and it became the place to be in Valletta. There was another opportunity to open the third Café Jubilee but the space had to be larger as the loyal customers’ list was steadily growing!  Café Jubilee Gzira opened in 2005. It s now time to launch and establish Jubilee International - the first international Café Jubilee in partnership with Corinthia Group is set to open in Budapest in January 2010.

In conjunction with the growth of Café Jubilee, in 2000, Alex established another company, Jubilee Foods Manufacturing where traditional home made and genuine foods, are prepared for all outlets, including the famous Nanna’s Ravioli. Customers fell in love with these food items and were seeking to buy these ready to cook food items from Café Jubilee for them to take home.  This year, Jubilee Foods Retail was launched onto the market and two shops are currently open, one in Ibragg and another in Victoria.  The third Jubilee Foods shop will open at the end of this month, in Pavi Complex, Qormi.


Jonathan Shaw (

Whilst still a University student, Jonathan set up an events promotions company and together with another two partners managed to create a niche crowd and regular line-up of weekly events which introduced Jonathan to the real world of doing business. During these years he also experimented with various projects such as producing TV programmes and other minor projects. After obtaining his degree Jonathan set-up his own freelance Business Development Consultancy practice with emphasis in Retail and Marketing. Jonathan has worked in Sydney and New York for a four year period prior to returning to Malta to set up the group of online travel websites in 2004. Following the successful launch of, various other destination-specific websites have since been launched. The group now owns and manages over 60 destination specific travel sites. Jonathan is also a partner in Tommy Hilfiger (Malta). 


Gianni Zammit (Jugs@Malta, Vibe FM)

When Gianni graduated with a B.A. Communications (Hons.) in 1997, he was already deeply immersed in the entertainment industry.  He has hosted his own shows on various radio stations for over 17 years and has appeared in several television productions over the past decade.  His entrepreneurial skills have been nurtured by his extensive experience as Director of a number of businesses including Junky Pescio Promotions, Zammit & Shaw Marketing Consultants, dSW Organisations and NnG Promotions Ltd.  He has recently started up his own business, Jugs@Malta, which offers a variety of services including team building, events coordination, and entertainment and is currently also Director of Vibe FM Radio station.
