Daniela Bagnaschi (Business Manager to the CEO at Vodafone Malta Ltd.)

Daniela Bagnaschi is Business Manager at Vodafone Malta involved with supporting the CEO in his daily execution of the company strategy, managing the company’s governance, seeking cross-functional business improvement opportunities and driving innovation.  Daniela has 11 years of experience at Vodafone starting off as a software developer and soon later moving on to manage that function.  She was later selected for a global leadership program and as part of that moved to marketing.  She spent 6 months on an assignment in the UK working at Vodafone Group with the global consumer propositions team and then returned to lead the local consumer marketing team.  As part of this role she was responsible for the mobile consumer business P&L driving new tariffs and offerings to Vodafone’s prepaid customer base.  After that Daniela moved on to her current role which she has occupied for the last 2 years.

Daniela read for a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics and Informatics at the University of Malta, followed by an MBA in General Strategic Management at the Henley Business School,UK.

Ivan Bartolo (Founder and CEO at 6pm)

Ivan Bartolo is the founder and CEO at 6pm Holdings plc. The company has grown into one of the largest IT companies on the island with a reputable client list including Capgemini, APS, Vodafone, Fujitsu, UK Local Government, and the NHS amongst others.

Ivan Bartolo has been involved in a number of consultancy and IT roles for over 20 years and has gained valuable, in-depth experience across many aspects of IT including product development, business strategy and management, as well as training. In 1995 Ivan acquired full certification in Agile DSDM as consultant, trainer and practitioner and has served on the DSDM Consortium Board of Directors as the Business Development Director responsible for introducing DSDM in the United States, Canada, Scandinavia and Malta between 2000 and 2002. Since inception of the 6pm Group, Ivan has been involved in a number of major projects for high profile companies including British Airways (UK), CAP Gemini ASPIRE (UK), Verizon (United States), Manulife (Canada) and Storebrand (Norway).

Ivan's presentation at this conference is entitled Good is the Enemy of Great.

Alex Grech (Owner and CEO Strategy Works)

Alex Grech is a strategist and academic.  He worked for Reuters, Hitachi Data Systems, MSU and Go prior to setting up his own consulting practice, StrategyWorks, in 2000.  Over the past 11 years, Alex has worked as a change agent for corporates, public agencies and NGOs in sectors as diverse as technology, law, tourism and cultural heritage.  Alex is currently reading for a PhD at the University of Hull, focusing on the disruptive potential of social media. He is also an alumni of Rheingold U, the online learning community set up by Internet visionary Howard Rheingold.

His presentation at this conference is entitled We Are Everywhere 

Malcolm Naudi (Founder and CEO MJN Communications)

Malcolm J. Naudi was a full-time journalist for almost 30 years until 2007, working in all the editorial departments at Allied Newspapers Ltd, mostly with The Sunday Times, where for 16 years he was Deputy Editor, among other responsibilities.  In 2008 he set up Malcolm J. Naudi Communications, which specialises in public affairs, PR consultancy, TV production and new media. He is managing director of Know Now Ltd, the company that owns the Malcolm J. Naudi Communications brand. He has been chairman of the Institute of Maltese Journalists since 2000. In 2010 he entered a partnership, Achieve Business Consulting & Training, with his brother, Jimmy Naudi, who is based in the UK, which secured the local franchise of FranklinCovey, a leading global consulting and training organisation based with headquarters in the United States.

His presentation at this Conference is entitled Surviving and Growing Beyond Year 1

Sandra Zammit (Founder and CEO Smoochie Ltd.)

Sandra Zammit has been health conscious all her life and at 44 years of age, she decided to do something about it.  With a background in human resources management and public relations, both in Malta and abroad, but with no experience in the fruit drinks sector or financial backing she opened Malta's first and only fresh smoothie production and bottling business.  Smoochie Ltd. now employs six people and distributes drinks all over the island, supplying most supermarkets, food stores, eateries, schools, hospital and the Malta International Airport.  At the moment Sandra is working on the process of franchising the Smoochie concept in other countries.
