Event Title: 'Great Ideas Funded' Training Workshop on Crowdfunding, focusing on the Creative Sector

Date: Monday 16th November 2015

Time: 18:00 - 19:30

Venue: TAKEOFF Incubator, University of Malta

Event Details: Crowdfunding is a fast-growing alternative method to raise funding for projects or ventures by collecting many small amounts of money from a large number of people. It is a true means of giving buzzing entrepreneurs and start-ups a chance. Crowdfunding platforms are web-based, and allow would-be investors/funders to make offers to new entrepreneurs. Often the start-up does not have the relevant resources to finance a project in full and struggles to obtain financing from traditional credit institutions.

This workshop was an opportunity to learn about crowdfunding and about the preparation required to get your idea crowdfunded and ready to be launched on Malta's first crowdfunding platform,

Organised by:  ZAAR Malta in collaboration with Arts Council Malta (ACM), with the support of Grant Thornton Malta.
