For the second consecutive year, The Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking participated in the annual Discover University Open Week which was held between Sunday 26th and Friday 31st October 2014 at the University of Malta.

On Sunday, visitors to the Institute’s stand had the opportunity to learn more about the Institute by interacting with the academic members of staff and the students who are currently enrolled in the Master in Creativity and Innovation offered by the Institute. The theme of the stand was ‘Find Your Creative Spark’ and, throughout the day, numerous activities engaged visitors of all ages to discover ways of improving their everyday creativity.

During the rest of the Open Week, daily workshops on creative thinking were conducted by Ms Shirley Pulis Xerxen and Dr Margaret Mangion, both lecturers at the Institute.  These workshops attracted over 200 students from different secondary schools, all of whom were eager to discover their creative potential. During the interactive workshops, the students had the opportunity to discover how easy it is to improve their everyday creativity. They learned simple thinking techniques aimed at improving their thinking when applied at school and whenever they need to use their thinking skills.
