Diploma in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Applications are still open for our part-time evening Diploma in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

This Diploma develops knowledge, transferable skills and attitudes concerning creativity and idea generation, innovation (including innovation management) and entrepreneurship through a blend of theoretical and hands-on, interactive approaches. These are vital for enhancing employment prospects and advancing careers, since the demand for creative employees who are able to adapt to change, recognise opportunities, solve problems, and lead innovation is rising both locally and overseas.

Lectures are held twice a week from 5-8pm to facilitate the attendance of individuals who would like to further their education and improve their career prospects or entrepreneurial capabilities but are not in a position to attend full-time day courses due to other commitments.

Some of our past students have shared their experiences on our Diploma Alumni Testimonials page.

Master in Creativity and Innovation

Applications are also still open for our full-time and part-time Master in Creativity and Innovation.

This multidisciplinary postgraduate programme has been attracting local and international students for many years, some of whom have shared their experiences on our Master Alumni Testimonialspage.

This year, the course is about to get even better as we have revamped the programme of studies in response to feedback from students and advances in the field. New study units include 'Creative and Critical Thinking: Theory and Practice', 'Leadership for Managing Change and Innovation', 'Creativity and Innovation in the Cultural and Creative Industries', and 'Strategic and Entrepreneurial Decision-Making' which will be delivered by visiting lecturer from Lincoln International Business School (University of Lincoln), Dr Andrea Caputo.

This course also includes a Research Methods study unit and a supervised dissertation project, but students may opt to exit the programme without completing the dissertation. In such cases, they are awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Creativity and Innovation, provided that they have successfully completed the taught component (60 ECTS).

Opportunities for Students

Students enrolled on both of these courses may benefit from a wide range of experiential learning opportunities through the many events and activities organised by the Institute. These include the Global Entrepreneurship Week events held annually in November and the World Creativity and Innovation Week events held each year in April.

Master students may also apply for an Erasmus+ grant to carry out their dissertation research at a university overseas.

Moreover, eligible students may benefit from a tax credit of up to 70% of the Master and Diploma course fees under the Malta Enterprise ‘Get Qualified’ Scheme.
