DESCRIPTION The theoretical foundations pertaining to aspects of innovation are explored through practical examples and case studies. The unit will look at different types of communication while conveying both theory and practical skills.

Study-unit Aims:

The unit aims to look at the relationship between communication and innovation while conveying both theory and practical skills.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of innovation and its relationship to communication.

2. Skills
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- distinguish between different types of innovation;
- map out the innovation process;
- place the role of communication within the innovation process.
