The Marketing, Communications & Alumni Office of the University of Malta (UM) is excited to announce the launch of a creativity competition for primary school children.

Theme of this competition: Shine at UM

Deadline: Wednesday 31 March 2021

The competition is open to children between the ages of 8 and 10.

Create an original artwork based on the theme Shine at UM, using paint; pencils; knitting; sculpture or any other techniques you can think of – we love recycled art too!

The creation can show:

• an artwork (painting, sculpture or any other techniques) of how an 8-10-year-old child perceives the University of Malta, or
• an original graphical representation of the academic journey from primary school to the University of Malta, or
• an artwork of what children would like to achieve by studying at UM, or
• any other concept expressed through an artwork, that is related to future studying at UM.

The artwork should be complemented by a maximum five-word tagline related to the theme Shine at UM and this has to be in the English language.

All participants will be awarded a certificate of participation signed by the Rector of UM.

Shortlisted entries will be displayed on UM’s social media channels during the spring and summer months particularly during the weeks before the course application deadlines.

The top three entries will be used to promote UM through a nationwide campaign on both online and offline channels.
