Learning the four main strokes used in competitions and recreation swimming.

Description:

Swimming is a healthy workout that can be done for a lifetime. It is a low impact activity that has several mental and body health benefits. One can take up swimming as recreational, rehabilitate injuries or profession. The reduction of impact makes swimming accessible for people who are unable to undertake activities such as running or any other sport. Swimming is primarily cardiovascular/aerobic exercise.

There are four main strokes used in competition and recreation swimming:
1. FRONT CRAWL: which consists of propelling forward, face in water and kicking. All coordinated. This is the fastest style.
2. BACK CRAWL: similar to Front Crawl, but done lying on the bank.
3. BREAST STROKE: performed face in water without rotation of torso. Legs will perform a whip kick movement while arms stay in the water.
4. BUTTERFLY: performed face down in the water. Legs perform a dolphin kick movement while arms move in a forward circle at the same time.

By the end of your swimming course you will be able to perform all strokes.
