Tools and resources

Your doctoral studies will provide you with the opportunity to pursue substantial independent research on your own, under the supervision of experts in the field.

As a doctoral student you are also encouraged to attend lectures and participate in research seminars offered by your department or research entity. These seminars  will provide you with opportunities to present your own work. In addition, as a doctoral researcher you will benefit from a programme of professional development workshops and seminars meant to support you during the course of your doctoral research. The programme is delivered by members of the academic staff and specialists attached to a number of service providers at UM and experts from outside.

You may also find the services, and in particular the courses and seminars, offered by the University’s Research Support Services Directorate, the Knowledge Transfer Office, the Library, and IT Services useful to enhance your experience as a doctoral researcher.
