DESCRIPTION This study-unit will explore ways of developing a portfolio both as artistic practitioners and also with students in class, for assessment purposes. Students will study different approaches to the assessment of coursework in art, particularly holistic and analytic approaches. Specific forms of assessment used internationally and locally in Art will be discussed. Students will also develop their own portfolios in relation to their practice.

- Learning about different approaches to assessment of portfolios in Art
- Learning about different creative forms of portfolio in Art
- Understanding the functions of the portfolio
- Students develop their own creative portfolios

ADDITIONAL NOTES Range of Acceptable Students:

Offered to B.Ed (Hons) Art students.

A Pass at Advanced Level at Grade C or better in Art or equivalent from a foreign university.

Only 10 students will be registered for this study-unit including B. Ed. Art students.
