Research based programmes, leading to the Master of Science in Engineering or Ph.D. degrees, are offered in a number of areas. In such programmes the student will be supervised and guided by an academic staff member who is normally active in the respective area of research. The research interests of the departments can be found under the Research Interests link. Please note that supervision of students may not be available in all of the listed areas. For further information contact the Faculty Office or the appropriate Head of Department or staff member. Applications for postgraduate research programmes are evaluated and treated on an individual basis. Prospective students who are interested in pursuing such a programme should in the first instance communicate their interest either to the Head of Department or to the specific Faculty member(s) who could potentially act as supervisor.
