The Faculty can offer research programmes leading to the M.Sc. in Engineering or M.Phil./Ph.D. degrees in a number of research areas which reflect the interests of its academic staff. In such programmes the student will be supervised and guided by an academic staff member who is normally active in the respective area of research. A list of Faculty staff members and their research interests can be found here . Please note that supervision to students may not be available in all of the listed areas. For further information contact the Faculty Office or the appropriate Head of Department or Faculty member.

Applications for postgraduate research programmes are evaluated and treated on an individual basis. Prospective students who are interested in pursuing a postgraduate degree by research should in the first instance communicate their interest either to the Head of Department or to the specific Faculty member(s) with whom they may be interested in conducting their research. Prospective students are encouraged to communicate with more than one Faculty member during the initial decision-making process.
