Investigators: Prof. Kenneth P. Camilleri, Ms. Stefania Cristina

This is an industry-academia collaborative project funded by a grant from the National RTDI Programme 2004. The project was concerned with one-shot 3-dimensional data acquisition of a person's head by fusing the redundant information in stereo images acquired from multiple cameras and employing a combination of active and passive lighting techniques. Novel algorithms were also developed to exploit the data redundancy obtained from the multiple views to super-resolve the 3-dimensional reconstruction.
