Evenings on Campus is organised by Koperattiva Kulturali Universitarja in collaboration with the University’s Communications and Alumni Relations Office. KKU is an independent co-operative which aims to encourage participation, primarily but not exclusively, by University staff and students in cultural events. Its first priority is to plan cultural activities at University throughout the academic year and during the summer months.

Evenings on Campus was one of the very first festivals in Malta which started to give space to different forms of contemporary culture through its representations of visual and performing arts.

Jazz, films, contemporary dance, photographic and cartoon exhibitions live rock bands and singer-song-writers concerts but also experimental theatre and ‘literary evenings’ have all been brought to life by University students and staff or artists from outside University of Malta over the years.

From the start, the aim was to give exposure to emerging artists, most particularly students, who had no 'stage' on which to exhibit their artistic talent.

Etnika and Inizjamed both made their debut at EoC, whilst Ira Losco, as a University student, gave some of her first performances at EoC, singer-song-writer Walter Micallef also found a space with EoC and still performs regularly at the festival.

Evenings on Campus aims to attract different groups to campus by providing a varied array of events: films, plays, concerts, literary evenings. It caters for a local audience as well as for Summer visitors to Malta.
