Malta has one international airport, Malta International Airport which is connected to most major European and North African cities. The national carrier is Air Malta but other airlines also fly to Malta. Flights to Malta can be easily found on e-Dreams and Sky Scanner.

Local Public Transport: 

Malta is connected through a series of Bus routes operated by Malta Public Transport. A 7-day card will cost EUR 21 while a 2-hour ticket costs EUR 1.50. The cards can be purchased from the Arrivals Lounge at the Airport. For further information. 

To reach Valletta from Sliema you can catch the 13, 14 or 16. These routes pass by the coast with most hotels there or near that area. The Airport has a bus hub just outside the Arrivals area. To reach Sliema from the Airport catch the X2.

Taxis: A taxi from the Airport to Sliema will cost EUR 20. White cabs are private while the others belong to companies. The biggest company is eCabs.
