Robert Suban studied Business Management graduating with a Bachelor in Business Administration. Subsequently he studied at the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium) where he graduated with a Masters Degree in European Economics Studies. He is currently reading for a Ph.D. in Finance at the Manchester Business School (University of Manchester) where he is conducting empirical financial research in the area of Finance/International Business.

He has worked in the Economics Department and, subsequently, Governor’s Office of the Central Bank of Malta. He also worked within a private company operating in the tourism industry. He was also a Manager with the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) which is Malta’s public employment service. In that capacity he represented ETC/Maltese Government on various local and EU committees, notably the EU’s technical and advisory committees on the Freedom of Movement of Workers and the EU’s Employment Committee. He was invited as a speaker on various local and EU fora. He was also commissioned various consultancy reports. His main research interests are corporate finance, finance and international business, regulation, and corporate governance.
