Triple Helix Collaboration

The Marketing Department welcomes the participation of Industry Leaders and Policy Makers to take an active role in the development of academic content and research projects in the academic programmes. Our department takes a proactive approach to implementing marketing knowledge in industry and to broadening academic knowledge. We aim to operate on an interactive model of continuous feedback between stakeholders.

The Triple Helix Model of Collaboration which we adopt at the department originated as a metaphor and has evolved to symbolise the university-industry-societal interactions required to generate meaningful outcomes from academia. The lesson derived from the Triple Helix philosophy is to examine local strengths and weaknesses and to fill the gaps in the university-industry-government relationships through a mutually beneficial strategy which satisfies the demand for marketing knowledge from all sides.

The Marketing Department is developing a comprehensive set of initiatives driven by the Triple Helix Collaboration principles:
