COURSE OVERVIEW
The preparatory programme is aimed to ensure that students reach the required standard for admission to the course leading to the Degree of Executive Master of Business Administration.
 
ADMISSION AND
PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants seeking admission to the Course shall have a minimum of three years appropriate work experience and shall be:

(a) in possession of a Bachelor's degree in a business studies related area with at least Second Class Honours from this University or a university recognised for the purpose by the Senate or

(b) in possession of a degree or a professional qualification recognised for the purpose by the Senate or

(c) persons over the age of twenty-six years in possession of a diploma in a related area with at least a Merit classification from this University or equivalent qualifications, provided they are considered able to follow the Course with profit by the University Admissions Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Admissions Committee and the Board.

Preparatory Programme

Applicants seeking admission under sub-paragraphs (b) and (c) of bye-law 3 shall, before admission to the Course, be required to successfully complete a Preparatory Programme consisting of study-units to which 30 credits are assigned.

The Preparatory Programme shall be designed so as to ensure that students reach the required standard for admission to the Course.

The Board may grant students full or partial exemption from the requirement of the Preparatory Programme provided that it is satisfied that study-units covered in another course are similar in content and standard, and have been successfully completed with a grade B or better.

Students who after re-assessment fail in any study-unit of the Preparatory Programme shall not be allowed to commence the Course.

The admission requirements are applicable for courses commencing in October 2011.

COURSE FEES
Local/EU Applicants: €420 per semester

Non-EU Applicants: €3,750 for Academic Year 2011/2012
