Intermediate Excel

Target Audience: Administrative staff
Duration of Session: 6 hours    

This workshop will be delivered by IT Services and is intended to help all administrative members of staff with performing daily tasks on their computer. The structure of the programme is designed over three 2-hour sessions.

The course will cover the following:

  • Using Ms Excel (Intermediate level)

On completion candidates will be able to:
  • Work with multiple workbooks and worksheets.
  • Select, sort and copy, move and delete data.
  • Edit and freeze rows and columns in a worksheet.
  • Create mathematical and logical formulas using standard spreadsheet functions; use good practice in formula creation; recognise error values in formulas.
  • Use more complex functions; including 3-D sum function and look-up functions.
  • Using collaboration tools; track changes, compare and merge.
  • Organise, adjust, check and correct spreadsheet content before printing content.

Google Workspace

Trainer: Mr Kurt Borg - Senior IT Specialist I

This 6-hour session will enable administrative members of staff to learn more about Google Workspace, ask questions, and discuss ways to use Google Workspace more effectively.

The session will discuss features in Gmail, Chrome, Calendar and Drive, focusing on ways in which administrative members of staff can utilise them in their work. The session will allow time for questions and discussion. The topics that will be discussed include:
