Workshop overview 

IT Services organises workshops for academic staff who want to use the University Plagiarism Detection software – Turnitin. Training consists of a single hands-on workshop covering these topics:

  • Introduction to the UM's plagiarism guidelines & policy
  • The functionality of Turnitin
  • Creating submission drop-boxes for assignments and UG dissertations in the UM VLE
  • Accessing the PG dissertation/thesis areas and updating the due dates for submission
  • Downloading students' submissions
  • Interpretation of the Turnitin originality reports.

Prerequisites:

  • Familiarity with MS Windows
  • Familiarity with the UM VLE

It is recommended that all academic staff interested in using Turnitin follow this workshop. 

 

Turnitin Q&A Session

Target Audience: Academic staff are familiar with Turnitin
Duration of Session: 1 hour      

Q&A overview 

IT Services are offering online Q&A sessions for academic staff. These Q&A's will be organised for academics who are already familiar with Turnitin and would like to ask the support team any questions they might have regarding these platforms.

No registration is required for these sessions. In order to join a session please refer to the links provided in the training calendar.
