    The International Ocean Institute (IOI), established in 1972 and head-quartered in the premises of the University of Malta, decided, through unanimous decision of the Board of Governors, to confer on Professor Alfred J. Vella - Rector, University of Malta - the IOI’s Elisabeth Mann Borgese Medal in recognition of his invaluable support of the IOI and its capacity development, education and training programmes offered in Malta.

  • Curriculum Design and Updating for Clinical Pharmacy Teaching

    Thirty five participants from eleven countries followed a workshop organised by the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Malta in collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and the European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP) was held at the University Valletta Campus recently.

    This year's Graduation Ceremonies began on Monday 13 November and will continue to be held over the next few weeks until Thursday 7 December.

    The University of Malta today also rolled out the introduction of its new visual identity. The logo for the UM has undergone a significant change despite its main characteristics remaining those inspired by Grandmaster Pinto’s coat of arms. The new logo seeks to satisfy all existing expectations of the original crest, but at the same time moves the brand identity forward in anticipation of further developments especially in the areas of both research and teaching.

Ad adempimento con successo del percorso di studii post-laurea. I discenti sono ricononosciuti con un Master in IMC presso l’Università di Malta.

  • MS Conflict Analysis and Resolution von der George Mason University

    Dieses Dual Degree Programm kombiniert die Fachbereiche zweier bekannter Bildungsinstitutionen: George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, dem ältesten und größten Hochschulprogramm für Konfliktforschung in den Vereinigten Staaten, und der Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies der Universität Malta , die seit zwanzig Jahren höhere Universitätsabschlüsse in Diplomatie und Brückenbau zwischen Europa, Nordafrika und dem Mittleren Osten  anbietet. Die Lehrkräfte kommen von S-CAR und MEDAC, die sich die Lehraufgaben in diesem Programm teilen. Das Hauptziel dieses Programms ist es, den Studenten eine Reihe von theoretischen und praktischen Werkzeugen an die Hand zu geben, die es ihnen ermöglichen, effektiv mit Konflikten auf der Mikro- und Makro-Ebene umzugehen. Es legt auch besonderen Nachdruck auf den Mittelmeer-Kontext als ein Gebiet, wo diese Fertigkeiten besonders nützlich sind. 

  • Dorothea Zoska - Doktorat in Pharmazie

    Das Doktorat in Pharmazie (Pharm D.) ist ein Stufe 8 Grad, der von der Universität Malta in Zusammenarbeit mit dem  College of Pharmacy an der University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC), USA angeboten wird. Das Department of Pharmacy an der Universität Malta verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung bei Ausbildung und Forschung in klinischer Pharmazie, während das College of Pharmacy an der University of Illinois in Chicago zu den führenden Pharmazie -Colleges in den USA zählt. Dieser Kurs ist deshalb einmalig, weil er die Entwicklung und Anwendung von fortgeschrittenen Fertigkeiten in klinischer Pharmazie mit kontextueller Forschung kombiniert. Lehrveranstaltungen werden von beiden Universitäten gemeinsam durchgeführt.
