This page describes the course structure as accepted by all members of the LCT consortium for the award of the Masters degree.

  • All actual course programmes offered to students by members of the consortium must conform to this structure.

  • The course comprises Compulsory Modules and Advanced Modules in Language Technology and Computer Science, complemented by a Project, a Masters thesis, and a Final State Exam (necessary for students of Charles University).

  • The language of instruction is English.

  • All  credits below refer to ECTS credits

  • Below are course specifications agreed by members of the consortium.

The study programme followed by a given student can comprise up to 42 ECTS credits. These modules are based on the specific strengths in research and teaching of the partner institutions and thus vary from partner to partner.

From the 42 ECTS credits of this category of module -

  • 30 are devoted to a Masters level dissertation

  • Up to 15 may take the form of a project

  • At least 4 credits should be in LT and a further 4 in CS

  • The research masters thesis consists of 30 ECTS credit points.
