Students are encouraged to download the latest edition of the Institute's Student Handbook intended as a guide to support them during their studies and to enable them to approach their work in an effective way.

The handbook provides a brief introduction to the Institute, and then presents an overview of the code of conduct expected of the IES’s students. This is followed by a chapter providing guidelines on study methods and activities, which aims to assist students in developing and applying effective learning strategies. The next sections focus on assignments and examinations (including tips for effective communication and delivery), and on dissertations and research projects, all of which are key components of a course of study. Information on academic and social support structures follows, and the handbook concludes with an overview of the various communication tools available to students.
