Special edition of IJEE November 2017

The International Journal of Emotional Education is dedicating a special edition of the journal in November 2017 for papers presented in the 6th ENSEC conference being held in Stockholm, June 2017. Papers must be submitted to the guest editor, Dr Birgitta Kimber by not later than 15th August 2017. Papers need to be related to the theme of the conference and be not longer than 7000 words, including references, appendices, figures and tables. Each paper will be peer reviewed (blind review). Authors are directed to the instructions for authors on the journal's webpage: www.um.edu.mt/ijee before submitting. The Journal does not charge any processing, or copy editing fees.

IJEE Vol 9 Issue 1 is now online

International Journal of Emotional Education, April 2017 

The first issue of Volume 9 of the International Journal of Emotional Education (IJEE) has just been published by the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health at the University of Malta.  It contains 8 papers by authors from Canada, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, UK and USA, including an extended paper on resilience.

The IJEE is a biennial, peer-reviewed, international, electronic journal which is distributed free of charge and supported by an international board of reviewers with high level expertise in the field. It is indexed by SCOPUS, Psychlit and ERIC amongst others.

IJEE Vol 8 Issue 2 is now online

International Journal of Emotional Education, November 2016

Volume 8 Issue 2 of the International Journal of Emotional Education (IJEE) has just been published by the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health at the University of Malta.  It is a special edition on Social and Emotional Learning Training, Intervention and Research Worldwide, guest edited by Professor Maurice Elias (Rutgers University, USA) and Professor Chryse Hatzichristou (University of Athens, Greece). Papers by authors from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Croatia, Greece, and Turkey focus on issues of implementation, assessment, and application and adaptation of different existing SEL-related programs and approaches to international contexts.

The IJEE is a biennial, peer-reviewed, international, electronic journal which is distributed free of charge and supported by an international board of reviewers with high level expertise in the field. It is indexed by SCOPUS, Psychlit and ERIC amongst others.

IJEE: Call for Papers

Special Issue of IJEE on SEL Training, Intervention and Research Worldwide

The International Journal of Emotional Education is issuing a Call for Papers for a special issue on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Training, in Intervention and Research Worldwide, to be published in November 2016.

The Special Issue seeks to highlight applications of SEL in different countries, particularly from settings that are not typically represented in the published literature. Training, intervention and research papers will be considered. Priority will be given to intervention studies with potential replicability. Research topics of particular interest include:

• the relationship between SEL and creativity
• the relationship between SEL and student engagement/ academic achievement
• how SEL changes developmentally 
• SEL assessment
• how SEL compares across cultural contexts
• SEL and special needs populations

In all papers, it is essential to provide a detailed description of the setting, context and population(s) of the study.  

To be considered for the Special Issue, please submit a 500-word summary of your paper to the Special Issue Editors by December 1, 2015. You will be informed if your manuscript is accepted for consideration by January 15, 2016. Manuscripts will be due on April 30, 2016. More information about the Journal may be found by clicking here

IJEE Vol 8 Issue 1 is now online

International Journal of Emotional Education April 2016 Special Edition

Volume 8 Issue 1 of the International Journal of Emotional Education (IJEE) has just been published by the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health at the University of Malta.  It is a special edition on social and emotional learning across different contexts and includes 9 international papers on issues like the effectiveness of clown doctors on children’s anxiety, social and emotional learning and resilience, the relationship between emotional intelligence and depression amongst adolescence, free play as a context for the development of social and emotional learning, emotional capital in initial teacher education, cultural curiosity in higher education, and bullying in higher education.
