IJEE Volume 11 Issue 1 is now online

Volume 11 Issue 1 of the International Journal of Emotional Education (IJEE) has just been published by the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health. It is a special issue on Qualitative Research on Children's Well-being Across National and Cultural Contexts, guest edited by Dr Tobia Fattore (Macquarie University, Australia), Dr Susann Fegter (Technische Universität, Berlin, Germany) and Dr Christine Hunner-Kreisel (Universität Vechta, Germany). It includes 7 papers by authors from Australia, Canada, Estonia, Germany, UK and USA, as well 3 other papers from authors in Australia, Spain and Sweden.

The IJEE is a biennial, peer-reviewed, international, electronic journal which is distributed free of charge and supported by an international board of reviewers with high level expertise in the field. It is indexed by various international indices like SCOPUS, PsycINFO, ERIC, ProQuest, Google Scholar and Web of Science amongst others. It may be accessed at www.um.edu.mt/ijee

IJEE Vol 10 Issue 1 is now online

Volume 10 Issue 1 of the International Journal of Emotional Education (IJEE) has just been published by the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health at the University of Malta. It is a special issue on the use of technology to promote mental health and wellbeing in children and young people, guest edited by Prof Barbara Spears from the University of South Australia, Australia. The edition includes also two discussion papers, one challenging the objections to emotional wellbeing in education and the other arguing a careful philosophical clarification of the concept of inclusion to promote democracy in education. The IJEE is an indexed, peer-reviewed, international, electronic journal which is distributed free of charge and supported by an international board of reviewers with high level expertise in the field. IJEE Special Issue April 2019 Call for Papers

Dear CUWB researchers

We are pleased to announce a call for papers for a Special Issue of the International Journal of Emotional Education on ‘Qualitative Research on Children's Wellbeing Across National and Cultural Contexts’.

Christine Hunner-Kreisel (University of Vechta), Susann Fegter (Technical University Berlin) and Tobia Fattore (Macquarie University) are the Guest Editors of this Special Issue. The Journal Editors are Carmel Cefai (University of Malta) and Paul Cooper (Brunel University)

Consistent with the broad themes of the journal, we are seeking papers that relate to one or several of the following topics:

  • Children's wellbeing and relationships 
  • Children's wellbeing at school
  • Children's wellbeing in relation to security (including bullying)
  • Children’s well-being and emotions
  • Children’s well-being and resilience

We would kindly invite anyone interested in submitting a paper to provide a short (approximately 200-250 word) abstract of their paper, including author names and affiliations. Please send your abstracts by May 4, 2018, to Tobia at tobia.fattore@mq.edu.au

Please note:

  • Papers included in the Special Issue are limited to 7000 words including references and appendices.
  • The final date for first submission of papers is October 31, 2018. All papers will be subject to blind-review by two independent reviewers
  • The final date for revised papers, post review is March 1, 2019.
