Mathematica

Mathematica is a powerful computational software for equation solving, mathematical modelling, data processing and analysis, image manipulation and many other tasks.

The Faculty of Science has a faculty license for Mathematica. The licence covers use of Mathematica for academic purposes. The software is available to Faculty of Science staff and students only.

Mathematica can be installed on one computer. Note that Mathematica software is also available on IT Services Workstations in Maths & Physics building room 110

The current Mathematica version available from IT Services is Mathematica 12.

 

The system requirements can be found on the Wolfram Mathematica site.

  • Create a Wolfram ID with your UM email address and sign in
  • Complete the relevant Wolfram Activation Key Request Form for staff or students
    • A temporary 15-day key will immediately be provided until your request is processed
  • We aim to process all requests within 1 working day.
