Academics scheduled to teach at ALT are encouraged to contact us so that we organise a short demonstration of the available technologies and assist with any queries they may have.

The Classroom Technology Guide [PDF] is also available on the teacher's desk at ALT.

The Arts Lecture Theatre (ALT) includes the following:

  • Height adjustable teaching desk equipped with:
    • an IT Services workstation, a keyboard, a mouse and an LCD screen mounted on an adjustable arm. The workstation is also equipped with a wireless presenter.
    • a visualiser
    • a control panel to set the content that is displayed on the projection screens
    • HDMI, VGA & 3.5mm audio jack plugs to connect to laptops/tablets
    • USB ports
    • electrical power points (UK/Malta & EU type)
    • fixed & wearable microphones
    • a telephone set 
  • Display screens that can be set to display various content using the control panel:
    • x1 Main projection screen for displaying electronic presentations, written text, etc.
    • x2 Secondary projection screens for displaying electronic presentations, written text, etc.
    • x1 Rear screen for videoconference sessions
  • Speakers
  • Cameras for lecture capture and videoconferencing
  • Wall mounted clock
  • Wireless network access
  • Student desks equipped with electrical points.

  • connecting and displaying the teacher workstation or your own device
  • technologies available in the teaching space.
