Antoine Grima read International Relations at the University of Malta where he graduated Bachelor of Arts Honours (B.A. Hons) summa cum laude in 1995.  That same year he furthered his studies at a Masters level by specialising in European Studies at the University of Sussex.

He also read law at the University of Malta where he graduated Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Legal and European Studies in 2004.  He was awarded the Diploma of Notary public in 2005 and graduated Doctor of Laws (LL.D) in 2007.

Dr Grima worked for the public sector from 1986 to 2010 holding various senior positions.  His  main responsibilities included co-ordinating and preparing Malta’s negotiating position in the Environment and Consumer and Health Protection Chapters; and the drafting of screening and negotiating position papers.  He formed part of the Malta Consumer Affairs Task Force which was responsible to transpose the entire consumer acquis into Maltese legislation and formed part of the Maltese delegation during the EU pre-accession phase for the consumer and environment screening meetings.
Dr Grima is licensed to practise as an Advocate in Malta and Gozo.

Dr Attard is currently working as an assistant lecturer at Environmental and Resource Law Department within the Faculty of Laws at the University of Malta.  Dr Grima has extensive experience He is also pursuing his studies at Ph.D. level at the International Maritime Law Institute.
