The Department of Commercial Law is once again collaborating with the Chamber of Advocates in organizing a half day afternoon seminar on Consumer and Competition Law and Policy.  The seminar, which is the fourth in the series, has now become an established annual event on the calendar of academic activities. Various expert speakers and lecturers will be delivering talks on various recent developments in consumer protection and competition policy. Topics include a critical analysis of the White Paper on Estate Agents, a review of recent ECJ consumer-related judgements, achieving consumer protection through competition law, and risks and liabilities when using on-line auction sites like eBay.  A panel discussion will afterwards be held between the various speakers. The seminar is scheduled for the 15 March 2016 which coincides with World Consumers Day and will be chaired by David Fabri, Head of the Department and lead organizer. The seminar will be opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law while the closing address will be given by the President of the Chamber of Advocates.
