Introduction

Welcome to the University of Malta Library’s online exhibition entitled, “Rare Editions”. The Exhibition is a digitized version of an earlier one mounted and launched by University of Malta Library in December 2006.

The Exhibition consists of an impressive display of a miscellany of rare editions, covering some beautifully illustrated texts dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

The scope of this Exhibition is to bring to the attention of researchers the range and depth of the Library’s Special Collections namely, the antiquarian books found in the Archives & Rare Books section as well as those held in the Cabinet located in the Melitensia Department.

All the works on display are available to researchers for consultation during Library opening hours.
