Abstract: The incidence of breast cancer&#xD;
is rising among women in many&#xD;
European countries, affecting up&#xD;
to 1 in 16 women and has become&#xD;

in European women. In Malta&#xD;
breast cancer is the commonest&#xD;
oncological cause of death in&#xD;
females. In fact 5.2% of all deaths&#xD;
in females in 2010 was from breast&#xD;
cancer.</summary>

Abstract: Cardiovascular disease is the&#xD;
most common cause of death&#xD;
in developed countries. Particularly&#xD;
with regard to coronary artery&#xD;
disease, approximately 19 million&#xD;
people yearly worldwide either have&#xD;
acute coronary syndrome or die of&#xD;
sudden cardiac death. Thus, early&#xD;
identification and an accurate risk&#xD;
assessment of atherosclerotic disease&#xD;
are mandatory for improvement in the&#xD;
early identification, management, and&#xD;
prevention of acute coronary syndrome.</summary>
