Title: The potential of producing more quality sparkling wines in the Maltese wine industry
Abstract: This study aims to ascertain that in the Maltese hot climate, a good quality sparkling wine can still be produced. Research was conducted following the central research question: • Is there a need to produce more quality sparkling wines in the local wine industry? and two sub-objectives in cohesion with the central research question: • What are the styles of sparkling wine that consumers prefer to drink in Malta? • What are the feasible and most practical methods that can be used to create a sparkling wine in Malta? Whilst conducting this research, the primary target audience was the personnel working in the hospitality industry and wine enthusiasts who dine in restaurants regularly and are familiar with the subject. It is hoped that this study helps wineries recognise which grape varieties and styles of sparkling wine meet consumer preferences if a new quality sparkling wine is to be produced.

Abstract: Malta’s experience during the Second World War has been the subject of an immense amount of research and publications of scores of books, both locally and abroad. Fortunately, a lot of information has been extracted for the interpretation of the many aspects and events which were happening locally during World War II. Nevertheless, most research has been focused on the work and responsibilities of the ruling Council of Government and the British military authorities. [excerpt]

Title: Enhancing the visitor experience of young adults in Għar Dalam cave, museum, and garden
Abstract: Għar Dalam is one of the most prominent monuments in the island of Malta. The Għar Dalam site includes the natural waterworn cave, an adjoining two-roomed museum, and a garden. The complex is of great paleontological, speleological, geological, archaeological, ecological, and historical significance (Fabri and Cilia, 2007). The site is situated in a tranquil and naturally beautiful setting. Nonetheless, Għar Dalam fails to generate the level of interest that would be expected from such a unique and authentic site. In fact, it is rated an average of 3.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor (TripAdvisor, 2021). Nowadays, museums are changing their approach by becoming more visitor-centred rather than collection-centred. In other words, they are focusing on satisfying their visitors. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the visitors’ experiences during museum visits is essential (Chan, 2009). In this research, we will attempt to probe into the visitor experience of young adults at Għar Dalam with the goal of enhancing it. We will also put forward suggestions and recommendations to address the interests, needs, and wants of this visitor demographic in relation to this monument. [excerpt]
