Abstract: The University of Malta Library Open Science Department presents Issue 38 of OAR@UM Update: May 2021.
This issue provides statistical information pertaining to the development of OA publishing at the UM. According to data generated from Scopus, a steady growth can be observed not only in the number of published papers but also in the number of publications in Open Access journals (from 39% in 2018 to 44% in 2020).
Additionally, we would like to invite you to view the recording of the webinar by the European University Association entitled Into the unknown: most likely futures for Open Access publishing. Abstract: This issue provides information on Open Research Europe, an Open Access publishing platform for the publication of research stemming from Horizon 2020 funding across all subject areas. The platform makes it easy for Horizon 2020 beneficiaries to comply with the open access terms of their funding and offers researchers a publishing venue to share their results and insights rapidly, and facilitate an open, constructive research discussion.
Additionally, some Open Research Europe benefits for researchers are presented.
